In a cirlce having radius 7 cm, a tangent 25 cm far from the centre is drawn. What is the length of tangent? Find it.

Soln:
use pythagoras theorem in triangle AOB (h^2 = p^2 + b^2)
OB^2 = OA^2 + AB^2
AB^2=25^2-7^2=576
AB=24
